Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Our Commitment

Eve Zone ("we," "us," "our") maintains a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to preventing such practices within our business and supply chain and expect the same high standards from our partners. This statement outlines our actions to ensure ethical conduct.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Eve Zone is a nationwide supplier of Health, Hygiene, and Hospitality products, operating across Australia.

Our primary supply chains involve:

  • Goods: Sourcing and distribution of health products (e.g., first aid, medical consumables), hygiene products (e.g., sanitizers, cleaning chemicals, paper products), and hospitality products (e.g., amenities, catering supplies). This includes both locally manufactured and imported goods.
  • Services: Logistics and freight services, warehousing, and occasionally subcontracted services

We strive to work with suppliers who share our ethical values.

Policies and Due Diligence

We are implementing policies to uphold our commitment, including a Code of Conduct, Whistleblowing Policy, and Recruitment/Vetting Policy. A Supplier Code of Conduct is also planned.

Our due diligence processes, currently being established, include:

  • Incorporating modern slavery risk assessment into supplier onboarding, particularly for manufacturers and overseas suppliers.
  • Including contractual clauses requiring compliance with modern slavery laws.
  • Raising internal awareness, especially among procurement, logistics, and HR staff.

Risk Assessment and Management

Potential higher-risk areas for Eve Zone could include:

  • Manufacturing facilities (both domestic and overseas) for the goods we supply.
  • Raw material sourcing within our supply chain.
  • Logistics and freight partners, particularly those with international operations.
  • Labour hire agencies.

We manage these by:

  • Conducting due diligence on new suppliers in these categories, including requests for information on their own ethical sourcing practices.
  • Seeking transparency from suppliers regarding their manufacturing processes and labour conditions.
  • Providing clear reporting channels for concerns.

Training and Effectiveness

We are committed to training relevant employees on modern slavery risks, particularly those in procurement and supply chain management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness will be developed as we mature, such as training completion rates, supplier audit results (where applicable), and supplier engagement on ethical sourcing.

Continuous Improvement and Approval

Eve Zone will review this statement and our practices annually to ensure ongoing effectiveness and identify areas for improvement in combating modern slavery.
