                        Hospitals and aged care homes should opt for TGA-approved, microwave-safe containers with portion control sizing.

                        They are made from plant-based materials like sugarcane pulp (BioCane), corn starch (PLA), or specific paper board with non-plastic linings.

                        Polypropylene (PP) containers and many BioCane/sugarcane pulp containers are microwave-safe. Check the individual product description for material type.

                        AS 4736 certification means the product must break down in a commercial composting facility. AS 5810 indicates that it has been verified for home composting.

                        Dispose of AS 4736 items in a commercial compost bin or FOGO (Food Organics Garden Organics) bin, if your local council accepts commercial packaging.

                        PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a bioplastic derived from renewable resources like corn starch. It is industrially compostable, but generally only suitable for cold food and drinks.

                        Polypropylene (PP) is highly durable and resistant to heat, cold, and grease. Sugarcane (Bio Cane) is also sturdy and excellent for hot foods.
